Oh what a year!

2020 was to be a year of “clarity”, of “20/20” vision, and so many other great things as we kicked off a new decade. Instead, we experienced a worldwide pandemic that would change everything we knew about the world and about ourselves.

For many, it caused destruction to their families, to their businesses or organizations. As we sheltered at home, we had to stop doing all the things we took for granted.

For others, like us, we saw our businesses thrive, and were blessed in so many ways, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Although I never had the chance to slow down, it forced me to reprioritize my life. I learned that I did not have to say yes to everything all the time. I could add back to my plate the things that I wanted to, without any regrets.

My family and I grew closer together because we began to slow down, and, as my Dad we able to “stop and smell the roses”.

The world as we knew it changed. Politics brought out the worst in so many people. Societal issues took center stage as the scales were removed from the eyes of so many.

We saw the worst and also the best of humanity. New ideas and innovations were put forth out of necessity. Our abilities to communicate were expanded. We were forced to stay connected. AHH! I love it!

Even though we are not of of this pandemic yet, I am a changed person. A person that is more thoughtful about what I do, where I go and who I spend my time with.

My faith has grown stronger because, like in many time past, I had to trust completely in Him for tomorrow.

I pray that you are in a good place if you are reading this today. If you are not, please ask yourself, “what can I do to change my situation today?” And pray for direction.

Until next time,
Liz
