Happy 2020!

One of my 2019 goals was to finish writing the book I was assigned to write by God back in 2016. As life took me through a series of ups and downs over the past four years, and as I sat down to write the final pages of the book at the end of 2019, I recognized that I if I had finished it writing it before now, it would be completely different. You see, when I heard the Lord say I needed to write a book, I believed it was going to be about my journey through grief. It was just a few months since my sister had passed away unexpectedly and I was still raw. Writing a book about the pain I experienced after losing my Dad, Mom, brother, sister and my best friend, would be filled with such sadness that no one would want to finish it. What a downer! But over the past four years, God took me on a journey through things that caused me grief but more importantly, He had used those lessons to teach me, refine me and show me that through Him, we truly can have freedom from the loss, hurt, pain and betrayal. I was able to write from a place of healing, not pain. I also had gone through a series of disappointments, betrayals and learned so much about things about myself that I had never known. I grew stronger and found joy once again. I’m happy to say the book is now in the hands of the publisher and although I’m sure there were be lots of edits, I can hardly wait to hold the book in my hands! I will let you know when that happens for sure!

Another big goal I set for myself was that because I would be moving into a full-time position with the Angel Foundation in January, I wanted to create a web-based video series of my Realtor Up & Running Boot Camp that I created and have been teaching for over 3 years to new agents. My “goal” was to have it completed by January 15th. That date was significant because I would be teaching a class on “Relationship Marketing” to new agents and wanted to launch my new program to the world. Well, as the date got closer to my self imposed deadline, I realized that I would not be able to accomplish such a huge feat. I didn’t even know how to create a video program! What was I thinking? While there are lots of courses you can pay thousands of dollars for to teach you how to launch an online course, I realized I have the best teacher of all and access to His abundance resources. So I began to pray for Him to show me how to accomplish this big audacious goal. It is now a work in progress and I am excited about the things He showed me and how to get started so I have set a new date for my launch of end of February. I share this with you because I want you to know that even though you may not achieve a goal by a certain date, there is nothing wrong with setting a new one. Don’t give up on yourself. It’s too easy to feel like a failure when we can’t complete our goal in our timing. Every day is a new day with a new clean slate. Set a new date! If the goal is worth setting, keep working towards it, no matter how long it takes you.

So go out and set BIG goals my friend! While we are not promised tomorrow, when you wake up and the sunlight hits your eyes, thank the Lord for a new day and then go out there with focus, direction, clarity and the inspiration that you can do anything you set your heart out to do!

I hope that you will not just set big goals for yourself in 2020 but you will lean upon the Lord to help you achieve those. So, here I go! I can’t wait to post when it’s done so stay tuned!

Create today as your best day,

Liz
